Welcome to a New Season of Edmonton Baseball League!

While winter still holds Edmonton in its frosty grip, spring is on our minds as we look forward to stepping back onto the diamond. The Edmonton Baseball League (EBL) is excited to kick off the 2025 season, and we’re thrilled to welcome returning players and invite new ones to join us for an incredible year of baseball!

This season marks the official transition from the Edmonton Sandlot Baseball Society to the Edmonton Baseball League. Along with this fresh identity, we’re introducing some exciting updates to enhance the league, including new rules that emphasize strategy, skill, and the fast-paced nature of baseball.

What’s New for 2025?

Rule changes

The EBL has implemented some exciting rule changes to make the game even more engaging:

• 5 Runs Per Inning Limit: Each team can score up to five runs per inning, keeping the games competitive and fast-paced.
• 12-Out Limit Per Pitcher: A maximum of 12 outs per game for pitchers ensures more strategic decisions and opportunities for other players to pitch.
• Stealing Bases is Back! The excitement of base stealing returns this season, bringing speed and strategy to every inning.

These changes underline that this is baseball—not slo-pitch—and we’re ready to welcome players of all skill levels to experience the game in its truest form.

New Pricing Options

We’ve updated our pricing structure to make the league more accessible while still offering a great experience for everyone:

1. Full Season Registration - $350
   • Includes a jersey, a hat, and access to all games throughout the season.
     
     
2. Partial Season Registration - $150   (FULL - Partial Registration Closed)
   • Perfect for players who can’t commit to the full season.
   • Includes a jersey, a hat, a guaranteed 10 games, and playoff participation if your team qualifies.
   • Whether you’re an experienced player or trying baseball for the first time, we’ve got a pricing option that works for you!
