Q: When does the season start?
A: The 2026 season runs from May through September, with games played weekly.
Q: What is the registration fee?
A: The registration fee is $375 (e-Transfer) or $386.56 (credit card with processing fee). This covers your entire season, including playoffs.
Q: Do I need to be on a team to register?
A: No! You can register as an individual player and we'll place you on a team. You can also register with friends or as a full team (12-15 players).
Q: What skill level is required?
A: We welcome all skill levels! EBL is semi-competitive, meaning we balance fun and competition. Whether you're new to baseball or a seasoned player, you'll fit right in.
Player Requirements
Q: How old do I need to be to play?
A: Players must be 18 years or older to participate in the league.
Q: What equipment do I need?
A: Players are responsible for their own gear. Recommended equipment includes: cleats (metal cleats allowed), baseball pants, glove, bat, and batting helmet. Teams will provide jerseys (available for separate purchase).
Q: Are metal cleats allowed?
A: Yes, metal cleats are permitted in our league.
Q: Do I need to sign a waiver?
A: Yes, all players must sign liability, code of conduct, and medical release waivers during registration. These are required to participate.
Games & Schedule
Q: When and where are games played?
A: Games are played weekly at quality baseball facilities around Edmonton. Specific schedules and field locations will be provided after registration closes.
Q: How many games will I play?
A: Teams typically play one game per week during the regular season (May-August), followed by playoff games in September.
Q: What if I can't make all the games?
A: We understand that life happens! While regular attendance is encouraged, occasional absences are expected. Communicate with your team captain about any scheduling conflicts.
Teams & Rosters
Q: How are teams formed?
A: Individual players are placed on teams by league organizers to ensure balanced competition. Full teams (12-15 players) can also register together by contacting us directly.
Q: Can I request to play with friends?
A: Yes! Note your preference during registration and we'll do our best to accommodate requests, though it's not guaranteed.
Q: What's the roster size?
A: Teams have a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 15 players on the roster.
Payment & Registration
Q: When is the registration deadline?
A: Registration is first come, first served. Spots are limited, so register early to secure your spot for the 2026 season!
Q: What payment methods are accepted?
A: We accept e-Transfer (to edmontonbaseballleague@gmail.com) and credit card payments via Stripe. E-Transfer is recommended as it has no processing fees.
Q: Are refunds available?
